Ctrl+S Your Relationship.
What better way to say I'm sorry (in geek) than a simple and cleanly designed card with a keyboard shortcut from one of my fave websites Etsy. Touting an antique white extra soft cotton paper you'll be sure to be forgiven if paired with the compliment of a (gasp!) handwritten note.
Is it sad that I just purchased 10 for anticipatory situations that I will most likely just use Ctrl X to Ctrl V for anyways?

Don't Junk Up Your Yard...
...or Ill send robots to wreck it. Okay, this just in, I LOATHE yard junk. Nothing is more awful then inflatables, gnomes, flamingos or anything of that nature...well, maybe these dolphin mailboxes that litter the better part of Florida are worse... but anyways back to the topic at hand - lawn 'ornaments' to me are equivalent to throwing straight up trash on your front porch. And with that said, perpetual kid wins again with Gnome-Be-Gone's. Handmade art using recycled junk (probably other lawn garbage) by artist Fred Conlon. Just put these somewhere crafty ... not on the lawn!

Computer Engineer Barbie - YES!
Barbie has had many gigs in the past, many stereotypical. But this year she gets an upgrade to computer engineer. Mattel rolled out 'Computer Engineer Barbie’ at the NYC Toy Fair Friday. The choice came from a voter poll and is Barbie’s 126th career.
And, in style, Barbie totes pink glasses, a binary tee shirt, Bluetooth earpiece and what appears to be a pink netbook. Society of Women Engineers along with the National Academy of Engineering worked with designers making sure it was a true fit. Rumor has it she’s big into Ubuntu and can code in 5 languages. Due in stores this fall.

The World's Largest Gummy Bear.
When I first laid eyes on the image to the right everything seemed to slow down, way down, 10,000 frames-per-second down and the chorus of Warrant's 'Heaven Isn't Too Far Away' amplified throughout the room. I've met my match.Courtesy of perpetualkid.com behold the world's largest gummy bear. Weighing in at 5lbs, boasting a shameless 13,000 calories and equivalent to 1,400 of those now 'other bears' ...I'm kind of ...well...scared ...but will easily take this in one sitting.

And it was called Yelo.
When you live in NYC and have long, stressful work days sometimes a 15-minute power nap feels like hours and is beneficial to rejuvenating your productivity. But its nearly impossible to get on the subway, get home and make it back to work without killing an hour or more. That's where Yelo comes in. Yelo is a luxury spa located near Columbus Circle in Manhattan. When you enter Yelo you are greeted with a "a warm and peaceful color scheme inspired by the robes and sash of Tibetan Monks". Yelo offers massages and facials but that's not the interesting part. The interesting part is you can pay for power naps which would make sense (I guess) if you work right by the location. This isn't your standard hostile cot nap either. For starts you can customize your sound and lighting accompanied by a zero gravity Yelo Chair.

Naps can be purchased starting at 20-minutes for $15 and up to 40-minutes for $28.
But wait, oh so many questions; what about the 20-minutes it takes for my mind to unwind - do you think I could negotiate that or does that make it a 40-minute nap? And what post-nappage beverage goodness do you have to offer me- could you make me a smoothie or provide me with a Sugar Free Red Bull? And what if I have a nightmare - that should be at least 20% off, right? Hmmm....

The offbeat - explodingdog.com
One of my favorite sites since college days is explodingdog. The site is celebrating 10 years this month and I highly recommend you check it out. New drawings are constantly posted and are random enough to make anyone smile, especially with the given titles. You can order custom prints, signed books and even put in requests.

Rebranded for Flight!
Nothing gets more monotonous and boring than the every day travel. And for someone that travels at least once a week I respect the new branding of South Africa's Kululua Airlines. A funky new approach; Kululua has shaken up the average plane appearance with an exterior 101 artistry that even lets you know where the black box is stashed. Different.Once in a while we see a little decor on a plane but why can't more planes really take on a more creative edge? They have to be painted anyway so why not use the large canvas to do something different while still incorporating your logo and brand identity? Companies often think too corporate and don't realize that their customers are real people that like to be entertained.

Punxsy Phil Meets The 21st Century, Robots and Troy Polamalu?
The beloved posterchild for Ground Hog Day, Punxsutawney Phil , saw his shadow today indicating six more weeks of winter. Phil gives his prediction every year from the 3.4sq mile town in Pennsylvania (that notably houses a police force of 12 and is a must-do-once road trip). But his predictions this year didn't come old school. For the first time ever Phil sent his prediction via text. Excited recipients that texted 'GROUNDHOG' to 247365 were the first to know if we would see an early spring. And in more hi-tech groundhog news, Phil could get an animatronic doppleganger. PETA is pushing for a robot to be used instead of Phil, considering he sits on display all year at the library, is forced into the annual crowded bulb-flash ceremony and is also being denied the ability to enter yearly early hibernation.
-LAST BUT NOT LEAST -
sports fans...a random 2010 Super Bowl spot; Meet Punxsy Polamalu.
