Unless you’re living under a tech rock, you know that next week Apple is holding a special event on Wednesday. The invite reads, “We have something you really have to see. And touch.” Here are my best guesses of what to expect as showcased on CNN:
First, I think this will kind of be the equivalent to an iPhone 4 to a 4S. A few bumps up, but nothing too crazy. And as someone that follows the Apple beat closely, I don’t think we’ll see a 7” form factor (iPad mini). At least not right now. However, we do see….
· RETINA DISPLAY - HIGHER RESOLUTION SCREEN
· FASTER PROCESSOR - A6 (DUAL OR QUAD-CORE TBD)
· BETTER CAMERAS – PERHAPS EVEN AN 8MP
· 4G LTE CAPABILITY
· SIRI INTEGRATION – EXPECT SIRI INTEGRATION ON ALL THINGS APPLE MOVING FORWARD FROM IPHONE5 to IPAD3
ANOTHER PRODUCT UNVEILED ON THE 7th?
Verbiage on Apple invites is always an indicator of what we might see – obviously this is pointing to two new products. Notably, there are retail shortages of Apple TVs and even Amazon and Best Buy are both out of stock. I think we see the next generation Apple TV, but I also wouldn’t rule out seeing a tiny tease of the full on Apple television set that is highly rumored for a fall release. Most likely though, just the next version Apple TV.
